Exposing the Exposers
The too often self-righteous Fourth Estate has exploited with glee the ethical shortcomings of the First, Second and Third estates these many years, from Nixon to Bork to Wright. I have asked all along: Who will tear away from these paper lions their facades of videotape and newsprint and expose their journalistic failures?
Rosenberg’s article sheds more than the light of truth on “West 57th’s” dark journalism; it also highlights the need for a check on the power of the ultimately profit-motivated press.
I say, let us clone him and send many Howards out among the journalists to open our eyes to their human frailties as well.
