Class-Action Suit Against Ashton-Tate: The Torrance-based software firm said the suit was filed in federal court in Los Angeles on behalf of purchasers of its common shares between Feb. 5, 1988, and June 13, 1989. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for alleged violations of law in connection with the company’s announcement of anticipated reduced revenues and net losses for the quarters ending June 30 and Sept. 30.
