Sicily Bomb Plot Foiled

PALERMO, Sicily — Police Wednesday foiled an apparent attempt to kill Italy’s most celebrated Mafia fighter when they discovered a bomb near his villa, news reports said.
Security forces assigned to protect Judge Giovanni Falcone reportedly found 44 pounds of plastic explosives.
