American Andre Cason won the 100-meter dash at the Rosicky Memorial International Amateur Athletic Federation track and field meet in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Cason, the 1988 world junior champion, was timed in 10.26 seconds in beating Bruny Surin of Canada and Joel Isasi of Cuba.
Mike Barnett of the United States won the javelin with a throw of 260 feet 8 inches.
