KVEA-TV Dispute

Regarding Victor Valle’s series of articles about the dispute at KVEA-TV Channel 52 and the recent departures of Robert Navarro and Ray Diaz:

Management attitude is a direct slap in the face of the Mexican community. I wouldn’t recommend having a Mexican running their news station in Miami; Telemundo has proved that it has good Cuban news directors, but wouldn’t it make sense to have them in Miami, where their audience is predominantly Cuban? To not only reflect the experience and culture of their audience but to promote role models as well?

I also have a gripe with The Times. This story obviously belongs in the Metro news section and not the Calendar section. It is not entertaining and definitely not entertainment.
