Costa Mesa : Neighborhood Blocks Sought for Contest

Mesa Pride, a Costa Mesa civic group, is accepting nominations by residents for best single-family residence and best neighborhood blocks.
Entries will be judged on overall appearance, landscaping and general upkeep. A neighborhood block is defined as both sides of a street between two cross streets.
There is no entry fee, and winners will receive prizes donated by local merchants. Judging will be made from mid-July to mid-August, when winners will be announced.
For more information, call Ron Amburgey at (714) 751-1350, evenings. Applications may be obtained at the Costa Mesa City Hall or the Chamber of Commerce. The deadline for nominations is July 15.
