AIP Commercial Brokerage has appointed James R. Brashier as president. The Newport Beach-based firm focuses on the Inland Empire and Orange County, specializing in office and industrial leasing as well as commercial and investment sales.
Gregory Scott Campbell, executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Group, has been elected to the Group’s board of directors. Campbell joined the Newport Beach-based company in January, coming from Homart Development Co., another Coldwell Banker business unit.
Law Firms
Costa Mesa-based Drummy Garret King & Harrison has made two announcements: John C. Garrett has been appointed to the board of the Orange County Performing Arts Center for a three-year term, and Robert L. Klotz has become the firm’s newest associate member of the real estate department, which represents residential and commercial developers as well as joint ventures, investors and lenders.
Interior Designers
Interior Design Development Inc. has promoted Gregory M. Bishop to vice president, commercial division. The Costa Mesa-based firm has divisions to handle commercial, medical, model home merchandising and custom residential projects.
Cole Martinez Curtis & Associates has announced the addition of Lila Burg as senior associate, design director. She will oversee all aspects of design for its commercial group. The Marina del Rey-based company specializes in commercial, hospitality and retail design.
The Sherman Design Group Inc. of Long Beach has added Karen M. Edwards to its staff as project designer. She will be responsible for interior design, space planning, finish and furnishing selections, graphic design and drafting interior construction documents.
ACCOLADES: The Los Angeles Board of Cultural Affairs Commissioners has presented the City of Los Angeles Award of Design Excellence to the joint venture of Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall and Black & Veatch in recognition of their outstanding design and engineering work on the Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Plant’s expansion project and its upgrade to full secondary treatment capability.
The Nadel Partnership has added two new members to its staff: Jafar Mosleh and Mark Vahei, both as senior project designers. Mosleh, specialized in office buildings, mixed-use developments, hotels and residential and retail projects, will be based in the firm’s Orange County office and Vahei, experienced in office buildings and hotels, will work in the Orange County and West Los Angeles offices.
Architects
Susan Grossinger has been named an associate for Rossetti Associates/Architects Planners. Her promotion will involve her in revenue projections and short/long-range management decisions. The firm, with offices in Santa Monica, Dallas and Detroit, has projects that include corporate and multi-tenant office structures, health facilities, plus recreational complexes, hotels and mixed-use urban developments.
The Jerde Partnership of Los Angeles has announced the addition of Norma Sklarek as a principal. Her contributions in the area of telecommunications, mechanical, electrical, structural, civil engineering, pneumatic and conveyor systems, helped her to become a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 1980.
David A. Knapper has been named vice president and sales manager for Grubb & Ellis’ Ontario commercial brokerage office. His duties will include overseeing the day-to-day management of the office.
Two new additions have been announced at Julien J. Studley Inc. in West Los Angeles: Marc Danziger, vice president in the financial services/investment sales division, and Barry A. Schoenbrun, associate vice president in the industrial division.
The Los Angeles office of Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services has a new associate vice president: Scott J. Keesling, an investment specialist who, in his new role, will continue to focus on his investment marketing duties.
Gill A. Barnett III has been named to the newly created position of assistant to the president of Collins Fuller Corp., headquartered in Newport Beach. The firm is a commercial, industrial brokerage company located in Los Angeles and Orange counties and the Inland Empire. Barnett will participate in marketing assignments and will assist in the president’s sales management duties.
Frank L. Ryan has joined Charles Dunn Co. as regional manager of the firm’s Orange County office. Ryan will bring with him 11 years of experience in the real estate field as well as his previous experience as professor of education at UC Riverside.
