Fiber Optic Agreement Reached: AT&T; and PCO agreed to sell fiber optic components that are virtually identical to help set an industry standard for the equipment. AT&T;, the giant New York communications company, and PCO, a Chatsworth fiber optic equipment maker controlled by Corning Inc. and IBM Corp., said the purpose of the agreement is to promote common standards for fiber optic equipment and boost sales of the components.
