Three Carolina Troopers Quit, 2 Fired for Steroids

RALEIGH, N.C. —
The resignations of three state troopers and the firing of two more has ended an investigation into steroid use by members of the state Highway Patrol.
The five troopers’ careers ended after an internal investigation showed that they had obtained or used steroids in a Raleigh gym, Joseph Dean, secretary of crime control and public safety, said Wednesday.
