Federal prosecutors are investigating credit card fraud allegations stemming from raids on a male escort service in Washington catering to political figures, officials said. U.S. Atty. Jay Stephens confirmed the investigation of alleged duplicate billings after the Washington Times reported that the service was patronized by officials of the Ronald Reagan and Bush administrations, congressional aides and one of its own former editors. In February and May, Secret Service agents and police officers raided a house in a posh section of the city that affidavits said was being used by escort services called Dream Boys and Man to Man. Meanwhile, an aide to Labor Secretary Elizabeth Hanford Dole, named by the newspaper as a customer of the service, resigned. “I hereby resign my position this date due to the public disclosure of activities concerning my personal life,” Paul R. Balach, Dole’s political personnel liaison to the White House, announced in a letter.
