COMING ATTRACTIONS

Producer-host Tom Reed, whose “For Members Only” programs air on KSCI Channel 18, has a documentary special coming up Tuesday afternoon on the station. “Salsa L.A. Style” at 4 p.m. will look at the Mexican and Mexican-American’s ongoing contributions to salsa, with emphasis on how Los Angeles Mexican-American musicians have played a role in the popularity of salsa and Latin jazz. The program includes interviews with Chico Sesma, a Latin music disc jockey of the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s; percussionist Poncho Sanchez; and salsa musician Johnny Martinez.
