Fresno twin boys have separate birthdays to celebrate. Joseph Martinez was born in the final seconds of Sunday, July 2, and his younger brother, Fidal, was born at 12:03 a.m. on Monday, July 3. Nurses at Fresno Community Hospital said giving birth to twins on both sides of midnight happens rarely but is not unheard of. Elsa Buendia, the mother, said she won’t mind celebrating two birthdays, as long as the twins are healthy. The babies were about 30 days premature but were reported in good condition.
