Looking Back--In honor of the 20th anniversary of the first manned moon landing, the Museum of Natural History and Science in Newport Beach will offer a 45-minute presentation on NASA’s first 25 years at 1 p.m. Saturday. The program will include slides and videotapes on the projects Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab and the space shuttle, and will be presented by Steve Lattanzio of Orange Coast College. Museum admission for non-members is $2 for adults, $1 for students and seniors.

The museum is also offering an Aug. 5 field trip to an observatory owned by Orange County astronomers, near Anza in San Diego County. Participants will see the crescent moon, Saturn and several other planets, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. Transportation is not provided. Fees are $5 per person, $4 for students.
