PerfectData Corp. Reports $10,000 Fiscal-Year Profit

PerfectData Corp. reported earning a net income of $10,000 on sales of $3.6 million for the fiscal year that ended March 31, a rebound from the previous fiscal year, when the company lost $287,000 on sales of $4.1 million.

The Simi Valley-based company said that for the fourth quarter that also ended March 31, its net income was $34,000 on sales of $1 million, compared to a loss of $65,000 on sales of $1.2 million for the same period a year earlier.

It was the first profitable fiscal year for the Simi Valley maker of office machine cleaning products since fiscal 1984, when the company went public.
