Nuclear Plant Shut Down
PLYMOUTH, Mass. — The Pilgrim nuclear power plant was shut down manually Tuesday because the facility suffered an unexplained loss of vacuum in its main condenser, officials said. The condenser is on the steam side of the plant and did not cause any radiation leak, a spokesman said.
