JERUSALEM — Nine Israeli journalists flew to Moscow on Tuesday, invited despite a lack of official ties with the Soviet Union.
The invitation from the Moscow Union of Journalists follows a trip to Israel by journalists accompanying Soviet Armenian earthquake victims seeking medical care.
The trip by Israeli newspaper and radio political correspondents is the latest sign of warming ties with Moscow, which severed diplomatic relations with Israel after the 1967 Middle East War.
