Symphony Orchestra Sets Outdoor Concert

The Glendale Symphony Orchestra will perform a free outdoor pops concert Saturday evening at Glendale High School.
The symphony’s new musical director, Lalo Schifrin, will conduct the program, which will include Ravel’s “Bolero,” Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” the popular Mexican classic “Cielito Lindo” as arranged by Carmen Dragon, and a bagpipe performance by the 53rd Street Pipe Band.
The concert will take place on the high school’s football field, 1440 E. Broadway.
Parking will be on the upper deck of Eagle Rock Plaza, with free shuttle bus service starting at 6 p.m.
