Sears, Roebuck & Co.: The Chicago-based retailer said second-quarter net income climbed 21% from last year to $391.2 million. Revenue advanced 9% to $13.28 billion. Income included $56.3 million from discontinued operations, reflecting a net gain of $54.9 million from the sale of the commercial division of the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group. Last year’s second quarter included a $16.1-million loss from discontinued operations.
