An Arab suspected of working for Israeli security forces died in the Gaza Strip of stab wounds inflicted by a group of Palestinians who claimed they acted on behalf of the PLO-backed leadership of the uprising, Palestinian sources said. Walid Barud, 23, of the Shati refugee camp near Gaza City was stabbed in the Rafah camp and died in Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, the sources said. His attackers reportedly left a note attached to his clothing indicating they were acting on behalf of the Unified Leadership of the Uprising, which is supported by the Palestine Liberation Organization.
