Businessland Inc. announced Tuesday that it is creating a new division to expand its desktop computer training operations.

The company said it is increasing its management, support staff and classroom facilities and is developing a national reservation system to accommodate projected demand for training services. Businessland Training now offers more than 90 courses at 130 facilities nationwide.

“The increasing complexity, diversity and pace of change in office computing technology have made end-user training absolutely essential for business,” said Andy Amstutz, director of customer training for Businessland.

“These same forces have made it virtually impossible for in-house trainers to meet all of the educational requirements of their organization,” he said. “We think the time is right for a training organization that can meet the national needs of large corporations and the local requirements of small businesses to step forward.”
