Pasadena : Library Temporarily Closed
The Central Library on Walnut Street will be closed until Sept. 17 for part of a $2.4-million renovation.
Branch libraries will remain open for additional hours while the Central Library is closed. The Allendale, Hastings, Hill Avenue, Lamanda Park, La Pintoresca and Santa Catalina branches will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The Linda Vista and San Rafael branches will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
In the next month, new carpeting and lighting fixtures will be installed, and tables and chairs will be refinished at the Central Library. The remaining work, improving the children’s room and the building’s exterior, will be completed next year.
