Employment Program Position Offered by State Agency Branch

The state Development Department office is accepting applications through Friday for the position of employment program representative, branch manager Don Pool said.

Representatives are trained to assist the public in job service and unemployment insurance programs. Starting pay is $10.73 per hour. A four-year college degree and a willingness to accept work on less than a permanent, full-time basis, and interest in working with the public are required. Fluency in English and a second language may be required for some positions.

Individuals without a college degree but who have two years of experience performing administrative or technical work in the employment field may qualify. Additionally, two years of college and one year of appropriate experience meet the required qualifications.
