Colombian police stormed a drug factory in a remote jungle, seizing 6 tons of cocaine and an airplane containing maps of air routes over Cuba, officials reported. Discovery of charts detailing routes through Cuban airspace provided further evidence of a Colombian-Cuban connection in the transporting of cocaine, Colombian police Maj. Jose Martin declared. The Cuban government itself revealed the drug-trafficking connection recently after a highly publicized investigation that resulted in the conviction and execution of four top military and intelligence officers.
