It’s been kept hush-hush, but the Carsey-Werner Co. (“The Cosby Show,” “Roseanne,” “A Different World”) is moving ahead with a mid-season comedy for NBC, in association with Bill Cosby.

Once called “Grosse Pointe,” according to a source, it’s now tentatively titled “Grand,” revolving around several families from different social strata and their interaction in the small town of Grand, location as yet undecided.

The network has ordered 13 episodes of the half-hour series, which will probably play in a 9 p.m. time slot, confirmed Warren Littlefield, NBC exec veep of prime-time programming. The writer is “Cosby” co-creator Michael Leeson, who “has a wonderful ear for unique characters,” Littlefield said.
