I wish to register an objection to the San Diego city plan to accept a $12-million bid for telephone equipment from a Japanese company.
Why should taxpayers contribute to the U.S. trade deficit with Japan just to save a few dollars?
On another page of The Times, an article stated that Japan and other Pacific Rim countries are being charged with “dumping” telephone products in this country by the U.S. government.
