Zenith Insurance Reports Higher 2nd-Quarter Profit

Zenith National Insurance Corp. reported net income of $12.9 million for its second quarter that ended June 30, a 5% increase from $12.3 million in net income in its second quarter of 1988. The Woodland Hills-based insurance company said the latest quarter’s operating income, before tax credits and net capital gains, was $12.4 million. Revenue rose 5% to $121.6 million in the quarter from $115.9 million a year earlier.
