Boeing Denies Firing for Whistle-Blowing: Boeing Co. has denied that it fired an electrical technician for complaining of substandard construction at a top-secret facility and said the employee was dismissed for misuse of company time and property. Kevin Kelly was fired July 28 after he went outside the company--eventually all the way to Congress--to complain about construction at buildings where work was performed for the B-2 Stealth bomber and other secret projects. Kelly contended that taxpayers were being improperly billed to correct building problems.
