A Question of Burnout

Share

I was appalled by the article on Sister Russo’s soup kitchen. Even with a multibillion dollar economy in the Los Angeles area, Sister Russo has great difficulty raising $3,500 a month for her soup kitchen, which feeds 4,500 needy, homeless people.

She even called her congressman and councilman and got no results worthy of mention. This certainly makes me wonder what happens to those billions of dollars in tax revenues. Will these billions be used to build more freeways so we can all rush about and make oodles of money at breakneck speed? We should get our priorities straight--humanity comes first.
