Baja Election
In response to “Political Fuse Is Lit in Baja California,” by Sergio Munoz, Op-Ed Page, July 28:
Compliments to Sergio Munoz for his enlightened and dispassionate assessment of the political situation prevailing in Baja California.
For the sake of the people of Baja, let there be “political accommodation” between President Carlos Salinas de Gotari and Gov. Ernesto Ruffo Appel.
For me, the pearl in the article was “that Ruffo grabbed a broom and began sweeping the streets himself” when street cleaning funds were denied to then-Mayor Ruffo of Ensenada.
Mayor Tom Bradley and the Los Angeles City Council should do something about dirty, filthy downtown Los Angeles.
Who will pick up the broom?
