Beckman Instruments Inc. has appointed President and Chief Executive Louis T. Rosso, 55, its new chairman following Henry Wendt’s resignation. Wendt, 56, chairman of newly formed SmithKline Beecham, will remain a member of the Beckman board. In addition, the board has accepted the resignation of director Kenneth N. Kermes. Kermes is a group corporate development director for SmithKline Beecham.
