Edward Ehrman has been appointed international director of marketing for the diagnostics systems group at Beckman Instruments Inc., a Fullerton-based manufacturer of instruments for medical research and diagnosis. Elkie Eastman, speaking for Beckman, said Ehrman will coordinate marketing strategy from Fullerton. Ehrman, previously general manager for Beckman Instruments in Japan, will take charge of a team of marketing directors who were appointed earlier this year to overseas operations, Eastman said. He will report to Art Torrellas, vice president for Beckman’s diagnostic systems group. Eastman said Ehrman is replacing Michael Whelan, who has become marketing director for the Eastern European region that includes the Soviet Union.
