A Panamanian vessel carrying soda ash collided with a fully loaded oil tanker and ran aground today on the Columbia River, but neither vessel lost any cargo, the Coast Guard said.

The Panamanian ship, the 172-foot T. S. Prosperity, was about five miles from Longview, Wash., and 55 miles inland when the collision with the 11 million-gallon Chevron Louisiana occurred at 2:50 a.m., Lt. Cmdr. David Gault said.
