Santee Woman, 29, Hit, Killed by Car
A Santee woman was killed Tuesday when she was struck by a car, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
Sandra Haynes, 29, was hit at 5:30 p.m. in the 9700 block of Mission Gorge Road where she dashed into the road, said Lt. David Herbert. Haynes, of the 8800 block of Annandale Way, was taken by helicopter to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where she died at 6:40 p.m., according to Herbert.
The Sheriff’s Department declined to release the name of the driver, who was not charged in the accident.
