Steven H. Hammer has been installed as the 1989-90 president of the California Mortgage Bankers Assn. Hammer is president of W. Ross Campbell Co., an income- property mortgage banker established in Los Angeles in 1905. The firm is a correspondent for CIGNA.

American Residential Mortgage Corp., formerly ICA Mortgage Corp., has named Tom Wood as senior vice president in charge of business technology. His role will be to improve automation and processing efficiency.

Allan L. Griffith has joined Northland Financial Co. as a vice president in the income property lending division. The firm provides mortgage financing for commercial, industrial and multifamily developments.

William R. Henson, president of Superior Home Loans in Hayward, has been elected president of the California Independent Mortgage Brokers Assn. The organization provides educational services to its members and legislative representation for its industry.

Stephen C. Roney has been promoted to chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Relocation Management Services Inc., headquartered in Laguna Hills. The firm is a full-service national provider of corporate mobility services, assisting in planning and implementing employee relocation programs.

Urban Planners

Wendy Tyler Cobleigh has been selected as a member of the Pasadena Community Development Committee. The advisory body reviews and advises on development proposals.

Finance Firms

The Los Angeles real estate banking office of the Bank of California has a new addition: Eve Ryan. She will be its vice president and will manage and solicit business from Los Angeles County commercial developers.

Peter Gans, president of the investment organization the Gans Corp. in Beverly Hills, has been appointed to the California state Senate’s Advisory Commission of Real Property Insurance. The commission aids the Senate Committee on Insurance, Claims and Corporations and helps draft legislation.

Interior Designers

PHH Environments, an interior architectural and facilities planning firm, announced that Robert Heraldez has been promoted to managing principal of the Los Angeles office as well as overseeing one of its studios, and Debra A. Walker has joined the firm as a principal, also supervising a studio.

Architects

The Nadel Partnership Inc. has announced the promotion of Fernand Banna to partner. He is currently project architect for the 405 Olympic Tower in West Los Angeles, scheduled to begin construction in January.

Two promotions to associates have been made at Widom Wein Cohen: Dennis DiBiase and Patricia Greinke. Both will be based in the Santa Monica office. The firm provides architecture, interior design and planning services to developer, health-care and corporate clients.

Ronald S. Baldwinson has been elected president and managing partner of Gordon, Friedman, Baldwinson Associates. He heads the Encino-based firm’s entertainment complex projects.

The Beverly Hills City Council has appointed Stephen M. Albert to the City’s Architectural Commission for a term of four years.

Danielson Design Group of San Juan Capistrano has announced the promotion of William D. Graeber from project manager to project architect. The firm specializes in civic facilities and commercial and health-care projects.

ACCOLADES: Richard J. Chylinski, principal architect and owner of Richard Chylinski in Los Angeles, has been named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects for his outstanding achievements in architectural education.
