Gun Smuggling

Congratulations, folks. On Aug. 10, your paper reported the first capture of a large shipment of smuggled AK-47’s since the California ban was enacted. It looks as if the NRA was right and you were wrong. Honest citizens can no longer obtain semi-auto rifles, but the smuggling trade is booming as it supplies the same guns to criminals.

Will you now admit that your anti-gun campaign is misdirected and begin a second vigorous campaign, this time to restore the civil liberties that you so gleefully squashed?
