May I be the first to nominate Tom Lantos (D-San Mateo) as a candidate for governor of California? If the Democrats are looking for a candidate who exudes confidence, integrity, probity, forthrightness, intelligence, and a high regard for the responsibilities of public office, they need seek no further than the scourge of HUD.
