From Times wire services

Domestic airlines today started grounding pilots whose refusal to work outside of regular office hours has left Australia’s airlines in chaos.

Government officials said international air carriers, not normally allowed to carry domestic passengers, might be asked to do so.

The pilots are demanding a 30% pay increase and have refused since last weekend to work outside 9-to-5 office hours to highlight what they say is the demanding nature of their work.
