PLO Will Seek Membership in World Tourism Organization

PARIS —
The Palestine Liberation Organization, campaigning for international recognition, will try this week to become a member of the world body that promotes international travel and tourism, diplomatic and other sources said Friday.
The World Tourism Organization, which has 107 member states including Israel, has a six-day meeting starting in Paris on Monday. At least 50 tourism ministers are due to attend.
