The Athletics Congress announced today that a hearing for former Los Angeles Track Club Coach Chuck DeBus has been scheduled for Sept. 30 in Los Angeles.
DeBus, 44, of Santa Monica has been under investigation by the congress for allegedly dispensing performance-enhancing substances to athletes.
DeBus also coached track at UCLA and Cal State Northridge.
The hearing had originally been scheduled for July 11, but the National Athletics Board of Review agreed to postpone the hearing five days before that date. William Hickman, a Seattle attorney who will chair the hearing panel, said there will be no further continuances.
DeBus faces permanent expulsion from track if the panel decides against him.
The Indianapolis-based Athletics Congress is the governing body for U.S. track and field.
