Country singer Loretta Lynn is seeking $11.5 million in a libel lawsuit she filed against a tabloid newspaper, which she says falsely reported that she was hospitalized and near death from a drug overdose. Lynn, 54, is suing the Globe newspaper over a Feb. 28 article that was headed, “Loretta Lynn Near Death After Drug Overdose.” The story said Lynn overdosed on Demerol, a prescription pain killer.
