Anne Mollegen Smith, who has held top editorial positions at Working Woman, Redbook and Glamour magazines, was named editor in chief of McCall’s magazine, which is published by the New York Times Co. Magazine Group. Smith, 48, joins McCall’s from Working Woman, where she served as editor in chief since 1984 and directed a major redesign of the magazine. She served as executive editor of Glamour in 1983 and worked for Redbook for 15 years before that. Times Co. acquired McCall’s from Working Woman/McCall’s Group on July 27.
