Talking About Those Radio Talkers
Regarding Claudia Puig’s Aug. 20 cover story, “Hot Radio”:
The programming gremlins’ decisions escape me. It’s absurd that the only woman doing a “single” in L.A. talk radio (except Toni Grant, who’s leaving KFI-AM) is KFI’s Mother Love. And it is frustrating to those of us who listen to the substance of KGIL’s Carole Hemingway to have women represented either by Mother Love or as the lesser half of a duo.
If Calendar does more on talk radio, please focus on someone who provides us with a positive image and a mirror for ourselves.
