Abbott Selected Angel of Week

Jim Abbott, who pitched a four-hitter Wednesday night to beat the Boston Red Sox, 4-0, at Fenway Park, is The Times’ Orange County Edition Angel of the Week. It was the second shutout of the season for Abbott, both coming against the Red Sox.

The Times will donate $200 in Abbott’s name to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Orange County.
