40 Die in Truck Plunge

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa —
A truck filled with about 50 laborers and children veered off a bridge Thursday and plunged into the rain-swollen Olifants River, 150 miles north of Cape Town, killing at least 40 people, officials said.
