Safe Keeping
I can sympathize with the gentleman who had his wallet stolen from his rental car on Maui (Letters, Aug. 13), but why was it left in the car? Would he leave it if parked in downtown Los Angeles? Why not take a driver’s license and $10 if spending the day on the beach?
Valuables that won’t be kept with you belong in the hotel safe or in your room. This applies to Maui as well as anywhere else in the world.
