Davis Named Angel of Week
Left fielder Chili Davis, who had nine hits, a home run and four RBIs in 27 at-bats last week (.333 average), is The Times’ Orange County Edition Angel of the Week.
Davis, whose 13-game hitting streak was broken in Saturday night’s 8-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox, has raised his batting average almost 40 points in the past month to .270.
The Times will donate $200 in Davis’ name to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Orange County.
