Carolco Joins Venture: Carolco Pictures Inc. took a big step into the fast-growing foreign market for TV programming, announcing a joint venture to buy, sell and lease television distribution rights for movies in markets outside the United States and Canada. Los Angeles-based Carolco, known for producing such action pictures as the “Rambo” movies starring Sylvester Stallone, will team with Paravision International SA, a subsidiary of L’Oreal SA, in the enterprise. The joint venture will be called Carolco Paravision Television International VOF and will have offices in New York and London.
