Chemical Plant Blast Kills 1, Injures 15

MORRIS, Ill. —
An explosion and fire ripped through a chemical plant Tuesday as workers were repairing damage from a blast three months ago, killing one person and injuring at least 15 others, authorities said.
Witnesses who live 10 miles from the Quantum Chemical Corp. plant said they could see flames shooting into the air.
The blast was caused by a leak of flammable ethylene gas, said Tim Crowley.
