A Virgin Islands legal secretary was flown to Washington by federal authorities and is scheduled to testify today before a federal grand jury investigating allegations by Charles Lewis that he smoked crack cocaine with Washington Mayor Marion Barry, the Washington Post reported. The secretary, Dixie Lee Hedrington, has told the FBI that she was present in Barry’s Virgin Islands hotel room in March, 1988, and saw the mayor and Lewis, who is a former District of Columbia employee, with what she believed to be a large quantity of cocaine, the newspaper reported.
