Newport Pharmaceuticals Inc., a diversified health-care company with headquarters in Newport Beach, said it has completed its acquisition of a Chicago-based company that provides mail-service prescription drugs.

The purchase of Delivered Pharmacy Services from Lincoln National Administrative Services Corp. will expand Newport Pharmaceuticals’ existing mail-order drug business.

The operations of Delivered Pharmacy Services will be consolidated with those of Newport’s wholly owned subsidiary, America’s Pharmacy Inc., a mail-service prescription drug company based in Des Moines, Iowa. America’s Pharmacy will be the exclusive provider of mail-service prescription drug plans to Lincoln clients.
